2.3 COOKIES
2.3.1 GENERAL
Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device when visiting our website. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”, which are automatically deleted from the user’s device once the website use ends. Other cookies, so-called “persistent cookies”, are stored on the user’s device and are deleted no later than 12 months later. These allow us to recognize the user’s browser on their next visit to our website.
Cookies cannot run programs or transfer viruses to your device. They serve to make our website optimal and user-friendly.
2.3.2 DEACTIVATING AND DELETING COOKIES
Our website uses essential cookies (session cookies) to ensure functionality. These cookies are usually only set in response to actions taken by you, such as setting your privacy preferences or filling out forms. Consent is not required for the use of essential cookies.
However, if you do not want your device to be recognized, please set your internet browser to delete or block all cookies or to only accept certain types of cookies. You can usually make these settings in the settings/privacy & security section of common internet browsers.
Please note that certain functionalities of our website may no longer work or may not work correctly without cookies.
2.4 USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files stored on users’ devices, which allow an analysis of the website’s use by them.
The information generated by the cookies about the use of this website by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization has been activated on this website using the code “anonymizelp”, so that the IP address of users is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by users, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
Otherwise, you can deactivate Google Analytics by:
- Downloading the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics
or
- Setting an “opt-out cookie” that prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. Your visit to this page is currently recorded by Google Analytics. Click here so that your visit is no longer recorded.
Further information on terms of use and data protection can be found at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.
2.5 USE OF GOOGLE ADS WITH GOOGLE CONVERSION TRACKING
To increase access to this website and optimize our website, we use Google Ads (formerly Google Adwords). Google Ads is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
Google Ads uses so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie for conversion tracking is set. These cookies are small text files that the internet browser places on the user’s device. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can personally identify users.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” and the use of this tracking tool are based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.
More information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.
2.6 USE OF GOOGLE MAPS
This website uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We, as the website operator, have no influence on this data transfer.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy location of the places indicated by us on the website. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en.
2.7 INTEGRATION OF YOUTUBE VIDEOS
We have integrated videos into our website that are stored on https://www.YouTube.com by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066, USA (“YouTube”) and can be played directly from our website.
All are embedded in “extended privacy mode”, i.e., no data about you as a user is transferred to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Only when you play the videos does the player embedded in the website establish a connection to YouTube to ensure the technical transmission of the video. Data is transferred to YouTube during the connection to YouTube. We have no influence on this data transfer.
Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by YouTube can be found in Google’s privacy policy. There you will also find further information on your rights and setting options to protect your privacy: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
2.8 SSL OR TSL ENCRYPTION
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TSL encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If the SSL or TSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
2.9 EXTERNAL LINKS
Our website may contain links to third-party websites – providers not affiliated with us. After clicking the link, we no longer have any influence on the processing of any personal data transferred to the third party by clicking the link (such as the IP address or the URL on which the link is located), as naturally, the behavior of third parties is beyond our control. We do not assume any responsibility for the processing of such personal data by third parties.
3. CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this becomes necessary due to technical developments.
